Sony Ericsson Announces 12 Mega Pixel Mobile IDOU Share

Sony Ericsson announced a new concept phone the 12 mega pixel Idou and the very-much alive, soon to be released 8 megapixel Walkman phone, the W995.

Sony Ericsson's announcement comes just as Mobile World Congress, a huge technology conference focusing on mobile devices and services, gets underway in Barcelona.

The Idou :
Sony Ericsson's new handset could render digital cameras obsolete by offering as many megapixels as many semi-professional and consumer cameras.

The Idou will also compete directly with Apple's hugely popular iPhone, and features a 3.5in widescreen touch-screen and powerful flash for high quality photos. It also has all the capabilities of Sony Ericsson's Walkman range of phones, which means it can be used for music and video playback as well as taking pictures. The device will run the Symbian mobile phone operating system, and users will be able to download extra software and applications to their device.

The Idou will of course sport a massive 12 megapixel camera and not to mention, Xenon flash. The screen is a massive 3.5 incher with 16:9 aspect ratio. These are the only official specs that we know of. But the phone is expected to be (obviously) WiFi and GPS capable and will also sport a microSD card slot. The OS will be Symbian Series 60 Fifth edition successor, the foundation OS from Symbian that will see its first version ousted later this year. The final version is expected in 2010. Sony Ericsson has also readied a website dedicated to the Idou which an be accessed here.

Sony Ericsson Premier3 Phone Launched

In the Spring 2009 line of AU by KDDI, in addition to the Sony Ericsson S001, Sony Ericsson comes Premier3 a terminal within the range Asian Walkman.

The Sony Ericsson Premier3 is absolutely incredible 3-inch screen with a resolution of 854 x 480 pixels (WVGA) LCD screen and a small 1.7-inch external. Likewise, the Sony Ericsson Premier3 has a 3.2MP camera with autofocus and LED flash, support for CDMA and GSM (it might work in the world), video on demand LISMO, support for microSD cards (comes with a card 2GB) and dedicated buttons for functions Walkman.

I do not understand why Sony Ericsson launched Premier3 is 50MB internal memory, expandable with only the memory support is limited to 2GB microSD, no ability to support microSDHC cards. Sony Ericsson's autonomy Premier3 seems tiny compared to Sony Ericsson terminals around the world, with just over 3 hours talking and 200 hours standby.

So yes, if memory and limited battery found guilty, the Sony Ericsson Premier3 seem to have an excellent sound system with technology Clear Stereo and Clear Bass, along with a powerful external speaker.

The Sony Ericsson Premier 3 has a unique hinge that allows the phone to be opened like a clamshell, but also flip open sideways to be used in landscape mode. In the phone you will find a 3 megapixel camera, media player, a screen that measures a nice 3″ with a resolution of 480 x 854 pixels, bluetooth and GPS. 50MB of memory is built in and the phone supports Micro SD cards up to a 2GB capacity. Hopefully that 2GB limit is software restricted and can be bumped up soon
